High Hoops is an android/iOS game I worked on as a Unity C# developer. I made this prototype as a proof-of-skill for a recruitment test taken for the game development studio Ketchapp.

This project took me about 30 hours and allowed me to focus on creating a casual gameplay with fun and easily accessible game mechanics. The objective of this test was to recreate the gameplay of the game, and to add a new mechanic that would fit with the base of the game.

​

The mecanic I chose is the control inversion: during a run, if the ball bounces a certain amount of time, then the controls of the ball will be inverted.

What did I learn from this project ?

- Developping on both Android and iOS environements

- Time-constrained prototyping

- Handling multiple projects at the same time (this work was performed while studying and interning)

- Reverse-engineering the gameplay of a game, and re-implementing it

- Creating fun variant game mechanics that fit with the core game system
